Hanging paper lanterns @ a reception hall?

Hanging lanterns at a reception hall. How do you go about doing that just wire and hooks? We don’t need them lit just for decor in a high ceilinged room. We were going to hang them from the air vents-but not sure.Any suggestions? We are going for the paper lantern in a tent look, but minus the tent. Thanks

yeah just tie they with fishing line or other clear line- you can use paper clips, binder clips or other hook type objects to secure them to the ceiling.
you can also try sticky putty, like the stuff you use to hang posters, to secure the line to the ceiling
