Neopets The Darkest Faerie video game’s Neverending Staircase help!?

In act 2, Roberta’s Story, I am stuck on the part where she is trying to escape out of the neverending staircase. I think I defeated all the evil harrises, but anyway, this is everything I’ve done to get out and the failure.

~Kept going down and down (Neverending)
~Tried to go out of the door I entered with (Said I couldn’t go back)
~Tried to jump off of the sides (Blocked me)
~Tried to destroy the Quiggle statue that you pass by everytime (Wouldn’t break)

I really need help!!! PLEASE!!!

I’ve never played the game, but here is what some people wrote

“well when u come out frome the top there are quiggle statues all the way
down follow the direction his hands are pointing say if his left hand is out go up
if his right hand is out go down its really simple”

“to get off the end less stair case u go don til u pass the statue go back up past it down back up then keep going down and you will find the door if you”
