What is the name of this weed? and where can find the verifiable source for the answer?

I found it in my yard in Houston TX.
I opened one of the little ornament looking things and it had a little green ball in it.
I opened the little green ball and it had tons of little white seeds in it.
I opened one of the little white seeds, ha! no I didn’t.

Edit; don’t know if poison or not you have the plant so you can determine which one it is here is a picture of the fruit inside of a ground cherry. If it is green it is probably not ripe..
It is in the family of nightshade but so is the tomato,, make sure it is a positive id..
